Return Policy

Overview

Maakit is a marketplace that connects buyers and sellers. Because fulfilment is handled by sellers (or Maakit where noted), returns and refunds depend on the item condition, seller policy shown on the listing, and the rules below. We aim to resolve issues fairly and quickly for both buyers and sellers.

Return window

Buyers may request a return within 14 days of delivery for eligible items that arrive damaged, defective, incorrect, or materially different from the listing. Requests started after 14 days may still be reviewed in exceptional cases, but approval is not guaranteed.

Eligibility

To qualify, items should be unused (unless the issue is a defect), in original condition where practical, and returned with original packaging, tags, accessories, and proof of purchase or order details. Buyers should report issues promptly and include clear photos or short video of the problem.

Non-returnable items

Unless required by law or caused by seller error, the following are generally non-returnable: perishable goods, personalized or custom-made items, intimate or hygiene-sensitive products once opened, digital goods or downloadable content, gift cards, and items marked as final sale on the listing.

How to request a return

Open the order in Manage Orders, contact the seller through Maakit messaging where available, and explain the issue. If you cannot reach the seller, or the seller does not respond within a reasonable time, contact Maakit support at info@maakit.app with your order details, photos, and a short description of the problem.

Refunds

Approved refunds are typically issued to the original payment method after the returned item is received and inspected, or sooner when an item was never shipped, arrived clearly incorrect/damaged, or cannot reasonably be returned. Refund timing depends on the payment provider and may take several business days after approval.

Return shipping

If the return is due to seller error, damage in transit, or an item not as described, return shipping should normally be covered by the seller or arranged through Maakit support. If a buyer changes their mind on an otherwise eligible item, return shipping may be the buyer’s responsibility unless the listing states otherwise.

Cancellations

Buyers may request cancellation before an order ships. Once shipped, the return process applies. Sellers should cancel promptly if an item is out of stock and should not accept payment for goods they cannot fulfil.

Disputes

If a buyer and seller cannot agree, Maakit may review the case using order history, listing details, message history, and evidence submitted by both parties. Maakit may facilitate refunds, partial refunds, replacement, or other remedies where appropriate to protect marketplace integrity.
